I think this is one of the best books Taste Of Home has come out with. I love the variety and ease of the recipes. My daughter was so excited with the book. I bought her one, so I could get mine back!

Good starter book
February 10, 2010

I wasn't exactly thrilled with this book although it does have some good ideas. I like to use a lot of fresh ingredients in my cooking and this book is mainly using items such as canned mushrooms, canned seafood and so forth. I guess you could probably substitute fresh for canned and get similar, but tastier results. This book is really good for beginners as it gives you basic recipes for appetizers. Lots of pictures and side notes from the recipe submitters. Overall it is a good starter book.
