Jaden Hair loved feasting at her mom’s table, laden with traditional Asian delights. But when Jaden moved to Florida, this transplanted Californian soon realized that Mom’s Famous Crispy Eggrolls weren’t going to make themselves. So her mom gave her a crash course in cooking—via phone! “$448.63 in cell phone minutes later,” she knew the secrets to creating spectacular feasts from the East with ease. She wrote about it on her popular blog and now with The Steamy Kitchen Cookbook you can take advantage of her experience and passion, with 101 fantastic recipes for traditional dishes (including Miso Ramen), take-out favorites (such as Thai Coconut Chicken Curry) and everything in between—even Korean BBQ-style Burgers. Color photos.

Whether or not you can find the Asian ingredients locally depends on where you live. The Wal-mart in my town does not carry any Asian ingredients except sweet and sour sauce, soy sauce, and a dusty box of fortune cookies. Pretty much the same way at the supermarket. So it really depends :)

I just received this book. I was looking through it while my girlfriend was over and we kept fighting over who was going to look at it! The receipes sound appealing and easy enough to make. I am wondering about some of the items the receipes call for but I'm sure when I start looking I will find these items. I look forward to using this cookbook if I can get it back from my girlfriend.

I first took this out at our local library, and immediately knew I had to own it.
The recipes are relatively easy and the results are similar to the better Asian restaurants I've been to. I had no trouble finding ingredients - most supermarkets have the fresh ingredients now and the bottled ingredients can be found in the Asian food aisle.
