The Country Cooking of Ireland

Ireland’s glorious sea, rivers and fields produce some of the finest ingredients in the world and its country cooks are the miracle workers behind a complete turnabout in culinary reputation. Country Cooking of Ireland helps you discover the delights of real Irish cuisine with 225-plus traditional farmhouse recipes that go way beyond corned beef and cabbage: soup, savory pie, fish & shellfish, poultry, pork, beef & lamb, game, bread, desserts & preserves, oatmeal and more. With beautiful photos of finished food (such as Roast Pike with Lamb Sauce & Bacon) as well as the landscape, restaurants, pubs and people of Ireland, this coffee-table worthy cookbook is just too pretty to keep in the kitchen cupboard—and it makes a beautiful gift!

I really enjoy this book, a gift to myself - the pictures - the history - the recipes. I have been cooking from it since it arrived. It puts you right into Ireland and helps to inspire me while cooking in my own "irish farm kitchen"

This was purchased as a gift for two good friends that just recently went to Ireland, she is an outstanding cook, and really loved the book.

Hello, this is a nice book with lots of stories, I bought at the 11.99 price, I will keep due to the fact that It would not be worth the charges to send back. I am sure someone will think this is a great book. I don't know if I will use much.
