Very easy to read and follow. Beautiful pictures and wonderful recipes. My family loves them all so far....

Very disappointing results so far. I like baking bread and 2 have ended in the garbage; the third recipe was just OK. The briche and cinnamon roll recipes yielded sticky globs of dough that no chilling would ever make possible to work with. Also, there are contradictions within the recipe and sidebar instructions. My other baking books are reliable and produce good results with even the first attempt.

Very descriptive, great pictures and easy to follow recipes have made this book invaluable in my kitchen. Would make a perfect gift to a new bride or novice cook. Definately would recommend.

So far I've only baked a handful of recipes from this book, but they've turned out beautifully. I'm no professional, but I'm a very passionate amateur who has a fair number of baking cookbooks already. The author's instructions are clear and very thorough. Unlike other cookbooks by an expert, say Rose Levy Beranbaum (who I do love, incidentally), the instructions here are not at all fussy. The results, however, are really just as excellent. The handful of recipes have been something of a revelation actually -- that a linzertorte dough can be flaky instead of crumbly, for instance. In short, highly recommended.

I made the Devil's Food Cake and it tasted like a professional made it. I mean, I am an awesome baker, but the recipe was the key. I can't wait to make more stuff!
