“I want you to develop the kind of memories I have, cooking with the people you love the most,” says Paula Deen in this adorable follow-up to Paula Deen’s My First Cookbook, which Good Cook members voted best instructional cookbook of 2008. The fun continues for kids in grades 3 through 6 as they learn to make treats for bake sales, sleepovers, their lunches and so much more! Each chapter in Paula Deen’s Cookbook for the Lunch-Box Set, from Morning Muffins to A Christmas Party, includes a lesson on a specific technique to help kids gain more confidence in the kitchen, a lesson in manners so we adults can be extra-proud of them, lots of wonderful illustrations and plenty of baked, broiled, tossed, sautéd and simmered goodies to love!

My kids were so excited to get this cookbook. The ingrediant list is easy for them to read, and most recipes enable them to be completed with only help with the heating and removing.

This book was a Christmas gift for my sister who has 8 young grand children and when they visit her she often lets them help with the cooking. This book was ideal for that situation. The recipies are arranged in perfect order for the children to learn to set up their equipment and everything is made very easy for them. There are caveats that an adult must supervise when there is frying or any other cooking task that might be too difficult for a child. My sister has only had the book since Christmas and has cooked many recipies and says she would give the book at least 6 stars! Happy cooking.
