“I want you to develop the kind of memories I have, cooking with the people you love the most,” says Paula Deen in this adorable follow-up to Paula Deen’s My First Cookbook, which Good Cook members voted best instructional cookbook of 2008. The fun continues for kids in grades 3 through 6 as they learn to make treats for bake sales, sleepovers, their lunches and so much more! Each chapter in Paula Deen’s Cookbook for the Lunch-Box Set, from Morning Muffins to A Christmas Party, includes a lesson on a specific technique to help kids gain more confidence in the kitchen, a lesson in manners so we adults can be extra-proud of them, lots of wonderful illustrations and plenty of baked, broiled, tossed, sautéd and simmered goodies to love!

I have the "my First Cookbook" that I bought last year for my daughter. She absolutely loved it. I decided to get her this one as well. I have no doubt that this one will soon become her favorite!!!

Browsing through the book I found the recipes to be simple but geared for kids who are a bit beyond the basics of just assembling ingredients. The book lists all ingredients and equipment, with wonderful illustrations, as well as step by step instructions. The recipes are wonderful, some of which I would like to try for a fast and simple meal or snack! Paula has outdone herself once again!
