I have made several of the recipes in this book and my family has enjoyed every one of them! I highly recommend this to beginners or anyone looking for something a little different.

Too many prepared ingredients

I was very disappointed in this book - I just bought a crock pot, and was looking forward to learning how to make soup and stews with it. This book has very simple recipes, which often include ingredients such as "can of condensed chicken soup", " can of pizza sauce", "refrigerated biscuits", " can of enchilada sauce", "packet of taco seasoning" etc. Might be great for some, even many, but I was hoping to actually learn how to make the dishes myself, from scratch, not using so many prepared ingredients. Much, much happier with my companion purchase " Slow Cooker: the best cookbook ever".

I bought this cookbook for my son, who loves to cook, I loved it so much I ordered one for myself. We've tried several recipes and loved them all. Once again Taste of Home produced a GREAT book.

This is a great beginer cookbook!Since I have recieved this book I have made several items and they are great. Very simple recipes that are cost effective and are very tasty.I would recommend this book for the begining cook and anyone inbetween!
