I have never rated a book, but I have to comment on this one!
I have made brownie's from this book many times. This book is awesome, to say the least. The Chocolate crumb topping recipe puts one in a chocolate lover's heaven! You couldn't ask for anything better than that. I will continue making the recipes in this book for a long time, or until I can no longer have chocolate.

The best Brownie Cookbook I have found. I have tried a number of the recipes and each one is better than the last. I highly recommend this book for anyone who loves Brownies!

Some of the recipies were nice, but most were not something I could easily do in the kitchen with my boys as a project. Some recipes were just too complicated for them to be able to do. If you don't have kids helping you, it might be a good book though.

Whether you are looking for a plain brownie or something new & different, this book has it all. The Classic Brownie is my new standard- I made it for my mother's Boss' Day gift to her boss and the whole office raved about them. The only possible deficiency I see in this book is that cake-type brownie lovers are out of luck. These are for fudgy-lovers like me. I especially recommend the Raspberry Brownies.

Good pictures and fun brownie recipes. my only vice with this book is the Pate sucre au chocolat recipe and the key lime tart filling. neither turned out like the picture in the book. i work at a bakery and have years of baking experience. after trying this recipe 3 times, either i am missing something or the recipes are. i can vouch for the peanut butter brownie. the cardamon is a nice flavor that adds a new dimension to a classic pb/chocolate duo.
if you love brownies and are looking for some new twists to your brownie vice, this book would be a fun purchase.
