I commented before about incorrect recipes and reached out to the author. I got an email back with many promises - it has been over a year and I received nothing that was promised - I will never buy qnother book from this author!

You may have tried some of these recipes before, but Nick Malgieri gives excellent step-by-step baking instructions demonstrating shortcuts or new techniques in this book. I've made several excellent recipes, including quick puff pastry, focaccia (my crispiest thin pizza dough thus far), and no-roll flaky dough for quiches in a pinch.

I would highly recommend this book for people who bake a lot (like myself) and are looking for fresh ideas.Or, maybe new twists or recipes for existing favorites. I've tried several recipes and my family and I have loved them. Especially the Foccacia recipe, my kids can't get enough of it!

I am a big fan of Nick Malgieri and appreciate the comment that there may be an error in the crumb bun recipe so before trying I searched on line and found a site that contains an adapted recipe from mr malgieri. This site does not permit the inclusion of the link but goto culinary book ( dot com) and you can find it.
