Southerners know their cakes. Don't try to bake a pound cake with yellow cake and pudding mix--I've been "found out" everytime. These are fabulous cakes, the kind I can serve to the older Southern ladies and get rave reviews.

This cookbook is outstanding.My wife made the caramel cake and the brown sugar pound cake and both were delicious.Would reccomend this book to anybody who loves to bake.

Made the Red Velvet cake and used the cream cheese frosting recipe. Turned out great and very tasty. This will be my go to book for making cakes.

I haven't made any of the cakes yet but I have my list ready for the holidays! This book is awesome with easy to follow recipes I plan to send a copy to my niece in Tallahasse she loves to bake!!!
