Really? All this is, is a book of endorsements for seleted restaurants in a limited geographic area!!! There is NOTHING in here to help me cook and shop healthier!!! How is this garbage available on a website that I used to think was credible????

After ten years of using a 1500 calorie diet to stave diabeties away I am now full blown diabetic, ugh! These books help me tremendously as that I also have to watch my sodium intake. My visiting nurse is working with me as well as my care giver. We use the s/g book with the lists of foods to do meal planning and shopping. I am only 52 and I would like to stay as healthy as possible. I am finding new foods that I haven't tried or haven't eaten in a long time. Yes, kiclark you can read the pkg in store but it is much easier planning at home instead of taking longer shopping and being in the way of other shoppers. I have already learned that all fruits and veggies are better fresh or frozen -NO cans, no frozen meals or lunchmeats, bake, boil or broil - limit fried foods. Don't forget to count your BEVERAGE CALORIES also. I think the comparison book could have had more examples even from resturants they already have included. I do like that it is laminated pages so you can take it with you and not get ruined by spills, nice little touch.

Look the first title isn't really bad because it sent me to the Atkins Diet site were I really got all the information I needed and then some. The Atkins site actually sends you a free starter kit with free low sugar low carb candy bars.
The second book was a total joke and focused on various fast food type eateries which is crazy as I never go to these types of places.
Bottom line Better information is available elsewhere and it shouldn't cost you anything if your willing to do the research!
