The elderflower liqueur adds a wonderful floral note to this classic summer drink and brings out the sweetness of the season’s fruits.
1 x 75 cl bottle crisp dry white wine
1/3 cup / 100 ml St. Germain elderflower liqueur
1/3 cup / 100 ml dry vermouth
1/3 cup / 100 ml Cointreau
3 oz / 80 ml fresh lemon juice (about 2 lemons)
generous oz. / 30 ml sugar syrup (see page 10), to taste
2 heavy dashes grapefruit bitters
seasonal fresh fruit, to garnish
Add all the ingredients to a pitcher filled with ice and stir gently to mix.
Serve in ice-filled glasses, garnished with seasonal fruit.
