Color-coded samples of sock construction and knitting techniques make it easy to see the basic architecture of the sock (toe, foot, gusset, heel flap, heel turn, leg, cuff), and the different ways to get a perfect look and fit. There’s also advice getting the most mileage from socks by reinforcing the places socks get the most wear. Experienced sock knitters, knitters who don’t know the first thing about toe up or cuff down knitting and everyone in between are sure to find something new and useful in Charlene Schurch and Beth Parrott’s The Sock Knitter’s Handbook. It’s small and portable so it can always be on hand to solve all your sock-knitting dilemmas and help you find the perfect stitch for your next sock project.
